Our Evaluation Staff is comprised of neuropsychologists and clinical
psychologists. We use a brain-based model of assessment to produce a
comprehensive profile of an individual's cognitive, academic, and
emotional strengths and weaknesses. This profile is then used to guide
recommendations related to appropriate school placement and classroom
instruction, as well as any interventions that may be needed to support
the individual – including but not limited to further assessment (e.g.,
neurological, psychiatric, genetic, ) medication evaluation, specialized
tutoring, speech/language assessment and/or therapy, occupational evaluation
and/or therapy, psychotherapy, or social skills training. For older students
and adults, the results from testing are also used to help guide decisions
related to college selection, choosing an appropriate college major, and
determining career direction.
